For a long time, River reeds (Vass in Swedish) have been used abundantly as base material in paper manufacturing in south Sweden. In fact, reed stem has a high cellulose percentage in its structure. To honor this great role in Swedish paper industry, I wanted to self-produce a paper pulp material to be used in the design of a lamp shade. Reeds still proliferate in many countryside areas of Götaland region. With this project, I intended to suggest new applications for a material that can have innovative uses in design for its captivating natural look. Material: Reed paper pulp, oak wood.
