It is a hot pleasure inside a piece of wood, an intimate moment that makes drinking tea alone or with others a delightful experience. I have tried to imagine the atmosphere of tea time hold in the warm heart of the wood. When you have a cup of tea, the atmosphere expands from the wood to the surroundings. As a matter of fact, the pleasant warmth released by the tea lasts longer because of the wood. The wood I used for my project comes from old furniture and floors. In this way, I managed to hold the warm vibes that wood creates into a tea set. I used two different types of wood characterized by two different colours: cherry-wood (red) and maple-wood (white). The mugs are made by white ceramic and the tea set is made of four pieces: one little sugar bowl, one milk jug and two mugs. Material: cherry wood, maple wood, white ceramic.
