Fioi Chair

“Fioi”, in venetian local language, means “buddy”. Indeed, this chair was design for SUA, a Yogyakarta based dynamic and modern coffee store. This coffee shop is a reference point for the local youth. In this place, people come for meeting friends or for working with their laptops. The aim of the design was to create a chair that could both suit in a space inspired by Japanese minimalism and, with its unique look, appear fresh and modern. Special care has been given to the wood joinery. In particular, a triangle detail recalls the Logo of SUA. The modern looking and the comfortable shape make this chair a perfect furniture for creating a modern café environment. The chair has been developed and produced in close collaboration with local Indonesian young carpenters. Material: natural akasia wood, canvas fabric.
